Abstract:
21groups of steel polypropylene hybrid fiber concrete pull out specimens were designed to study the influences of hybrid fiber content, embedded depth and matrix strength on the interfacial bonding performance between corrugated steel fiber and hybrid fiber concrete matrix through one sided steel fiber pull out tests. The peak pull out force and pull out work were measured to analyze the influences of the aforementioned factors on the interfacial bonding performance between the corrugated fiber and the matrix. Moreover, the bonding mechanism of the fiber matrix interface was also revealed. Results show that the fiber pull out force reached maximum when the steel fiber content and polypropylene fiber content were kept to 150% and 005%, respectively. The interfacial bonding behavior can also be improved with the increase of concrete matrix strength. Increasing the fiber embedded depth is favorable to the increase of the pull out force. However, above the embedded depth greater than 8mm, the interfacial bonding strength gradually decreased with the increase of the embedded depth.
