Abstract:A 3D moving particle semi implicit(MPS) method was developed to analyze and predict the filling state of rock filled concrete(RFC). The self compacting concrete(SCC) was regarded as a single phase homogeneous non Newtonian fluid and described by Bingham model. Using MPS method, the numerical simulation of the slump flow test was carried out. By comparing with the analytical solution, the convergence and accuracy of MPS method were analyzed, which verified the accuracy of the method. On this basis, through the numerical simulation of L B box test, the flow characteristics of SCC rock filled body was analyzed, the filling state of RFC was predicted, and the influence of yield strength on the compactness of RFC was analyzed. The results show that MPS method can simulate the flow process of SCC in rock filled body, predict the compactness of RFC, and finally provide reference for the design and construction practice of RFC engineering.
