Abstract:A novel aluminophosphate cement clinker consisting of calcium aluminophosphate, calcium aluminate and tricalcium phosphate was designed and developed in the CaO Al2O3 P2O5 system. A series of clinkers with different mineral contents was prepared by sol gel method and high temperature solid reaction process. The mineralogical content of clinker was quantitatively analyzed. The setting time and compressive strength were tested, and the hydration products and hydration hardened paste were analyzed. The results show that the hydration time of the cement clinker is normal, and the higher the content of calcium phosphate aluminate, the shorter the setting time. The hardened specimens have the characteristics of high strength and early strength. The strength at early and late stages of development is higher. The hardened cement paste has a dense microstructure, and the hydration products include calcium aluminate hydrate(C2AH8), CaO Al2O3 H2O gel, and CaO Al2O3 P2O5 H2O gel within 28 days. The actual mineral phase contents of the prepared cement clinker are the same as the designed content, which proves that the clinker design idea is feasible, and the study provides a design idea for the development of new cementitious materials.
