Abstract:Base asphalt, SBS modified asphalt,high modulus modified asphalt and high viscosity modified asphalt were used in the research. Based on the conventional performance test, complex shear test, repeated creep test and generalized shear modulus test, high temperature performance parameter of softening point and equivalent softening point, rutting factor and improved rutting, creep modulus and generalized shear modulus were tested. By analyzing the discrimination of each parameter, and correlation of asphalt performance and asphalt mixture rutting performance, it is found that the creep modulus and the softening point of asphalt have the close relationship with the dynamic stability of asphalt mixture. It is recommended to use the creep modulus as the high temperature performance evaluation parameter, and the softening point as the quality control index.
