Abstract:The polymer grouting material has the characteristics of fast forming, high expansibility, good tensile performance, etc. Obviously, it has advantages in application to the foundation treatment in combination with gravel piles. The axial compressive tests of polymer gravel mixture material were performed for its deformation and mechanical properties. The characteristics of full stress strain curve and the effect of polymer density and gravel particle size on the mechanical properties of the polymer gravel mixture were analyzed. The results show that the polymer gravel mixture has superior deformability; the stress strain curve exhibits a typical three stage characteristic before reaching the peak load, and has a strain softening characteristic; polymer density has a great influence on the deformation and strength of the polymer gravel mixture. With the increase of polymer density, the brittleness of the polymer gravel mixture is more obvious and the strength is higher. Gravel particle size has little effect on the compressive properties of the polymer gravel mixture.
