Abstract:In order to study the influence of the addition of 250μm(60mesh), mixed mesh crumb rubber with surfactant warm mix reagent added on the fatigue properties of asphalt mixtures, the four point bending fatigue test of the small beam was conducted. Then the test data was analyzed with energy dissipation theory; An index named relative dissipated energy change ratio(RDEC) was inferred out, then 3stages of fatigue damage for asphalt mixtures with RDEC as evaluation criterion. The study results indicate that no matter which modifier is added and how the weather is and whether or not the warm mix reagent is added, a fine linear relationship in double logarithm coordinates between the cumulative dissipated energy Wf and fatigue life Nf for asphalt mixtures is shown as the fatigue break occurs; Furthermore, the linear relationship wouldnt be influenced by the changes of experimental conditions; Four types of material meet the regulation of Wf that reduces with strain level increases, gaps between Wf and gaps between Nf gradually reduce of each materials with the increase of strain level; As far as the asphalt mixtures made from two crumb rubber modifiers were concerned, the mixed mesh numbers is better; For the same mixture, the fatigue properties are improved significantly after warm mix reagent is added; The RDEC confirms that the current specification makes a load number that corresponds to 50% initial bending stiffness modulus as the fatigue life of asphalt mixtures, and makes the asphalt mixtures only experience 2stages of fatigue break, the asphalt mixtures is not fully performed.
