Abstract:The fluidity, compressive strength, flexural strength, failure mode and the synergistic effect of steel PVA fiber reinforced concrete were studied by 18sets of specimens. The results show that when the total fiber volume fraction is 175%, the fluidity of concrete decreases with the increase of PVA fiber volume fraction, and decreases when PVA fiber volume fraction is more than 025%,and when the PVA fiber volume fraction is more than 025%,the rate of decline becomes higher. When the total fiber volume fraction is 175%, the positive synergies occur in the fiber combination of 150% steel fiber and 025% PVA fiber, compressive strength to the maximum; the flexural strength reaches the maximum when the fiber combination is 125% steel fiber and 050% PVA fiber. The incorporation of PVA fibers is favorable to the multi crack cracking.
