Abstract:In order to determine the high temperature performance and its sensitivity, the curves of heat flow and their values were measured for four different kinds of high modulus admixtures of asphalt by means of differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) at 4different temperatures with a view to analyzing the aggregated states and their variation. Comparing the shapes and values of heat flow from the DSC spectra for the four different admixtures, it is found that for the admixture ADD 4, no peak of absorption exists and its polymer does not exist the transition temperature range of aggregated states. The transition of the aggregated states of ADD 1 is more complicated than that of ADD 2 and ADD 3 There exists the second peak of heat absorption and its high temperature performance is more stable.
