Abstract:Linear and radial SBS modified asphalt with varying polymer contents were selected to perform DSR dynamic shear time sweep test and multiple stress creep recovery(MSCR) test with the purpose of comparing these parameters in characterizing high temperature performance. Meanwhile, regression analysis were carried out between dynamic stability from wheel tracking test and these parameters. 1-1/(tan δ·sin δ) G*, Jnr results indicate that the effect of increasing SBS content is more prominent for binders at lower SBS content. Besides, Jnr results indicate that the performance gap between linear and radial SBS modified binders reduces with the increase of SBS content. The regression analysis between dynamic stability of modified asphalt mixture and these parameters indicate that 1-1/(tan δ·sin δ) G* and Jnr0.1 are better than G*/sin δ with respect to high temperature performance characterization, while Jnr3.2 owns the least relativity.
