Abstract:Effects of mineral admixtures and polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE)on shrinkage law of C30 high performance concrete(HPC) at ages of 024 h were investigated. The mineral admixtures had a certain effect on the shrinkage of C30 HPC without PCE. The shrinkage ratio of pure cement HPC, fly ash(FA) HPC, ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBS) HPC, HPC with FA and GGBS (ternary HPC) showed the same trend. The maximum shrinkage ratio for the four kinds of HPC was 1000×10-61500×10-6. The shrinkage ratio of GGBS HPC was the smallest, while that of ternary HPC is the largest. The maximum shrinkage ratio for the four kinds of HPC with PCE became 1000×10-62 500×10-6at ages of 024 h, which changed with the mix proportion of mineral admixtures. The shrinkage ratios of pure cement HPC and GGBS HPC with PCE were 2.4 and 2.0 times those of HPC without PCE, and the shrinkage process was postponed. The shrinkage ratio of FA HPC was not changed. The shrinkage ratio of the ternary HPC with PCE was reduced, and the time to the maximum shrinkage was shortened.
