Abstract:In order to study the crack resistance of asphalt mixture under the effect of freezing thawing cycle and deicing salt, on the basis of fracture mechanics, semi circular bending test and J integral were used to evaluate the crack resistance of the asphalt mixture. Based on range analysis and variance analysis of the orthogonal test, the influence factors of the crack resistance, freezing thawing cycles and deicing salt concentration were analyzed.Results show that under the damage of deicing salt and freezing thawing cycles, the influence degrees of the crack resistance are shown in the order from asphalt type, freeze thaw cycle to deicing salt concentration. Compared to the asphalt mixture with the matrix asphalt, crumb rubber powder and the composite asphalt,the SBS modified asphalt mixture has better crack resistance. With the increase of cycle of freezing and thawing, the crack resistance of the asphalt mixture gradually reduced; when the deicing salt concentration is low and medium, the damage is the most serious.
