Abstract:Rheological properties of two kinds of asphalt binders were evaluated by dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), and the main tests were dynamic stress and frequency sweep tests to obtain yielding and relaxation information in high temperature of 60℃. The final analysis shows that there are apparent differences between plain asphalt and SBS modified asphalt, the former has typical yielding characteristics and linear viscoelastic zone, but SBS modified asphalt only experiences the yielding process with no apparent linear viscoelastic zone. Meanwhile, the relaxation time of SBS modified asphalt decreases with the increase of polymer content, thus resulting in an improvement of the structure recovery ability, but plain asphalt has no apparent relaxation performance.
