Abstract:Based on the optics requirement of energy saving coatings used on outside wall in tropical and subtropical areas, a series of experiments were made for research on the influence of metallic oxide paints on the emissivity and solar reflectance of building coatings. The results indicate that among black metallic oxide pigment, coatings added with nickel iron chromite black spinel would achieve a high absorptance with 095,094 in ultraviolet band and visible spectrum. The absorptance of the coatings with nickel iron chromite black spinel would decrease to 045 in near infrared band, and the reflectivity would reach 038. The reflectivity of titanium chrome yellow was better than that of ferrite yellow, and in the near infrared range, the reflectivity of titanium chrome yellow keeps stable with the increasing of its content. In the spectrum range of 10002500nm, the reflectivity curve of iron oxide red and ferrite yellow with the same content almost coincides. In the spectrum range of 8001000nm, the iron oxide red showing greater absorptance in comparison with ferrite yellow.
