Abstract:In order to solve the problem of reflection crack of semi rigid base asphalt pavement, emulsified asphalt was added into cement stabilized crushed stones to form semi flexible base. Temperature shrinkage coefficient of cement emulsified asphalt stabilized crushed stones specimens was measured by means of resistance strain gauge along with DT80 intelligent data acquisition instrument. The temperature shrinkage mechanism was explored. The effects of aging time, use level(by mass) of emulsified asphalt and cement content(by mass) on temperature shrinkage characteristics were analyzed. Results show that addition of emulsified asphalt can effectively improve the temperature shrinkage performance of cement stabilized crushed stones; temperature shrinkage coefficient decreases with the increasing use level(by mass) of emulsified asphalt; the average temperature shrinkage coefficient decreases first and then increases with the increase of cement content(by mass); when the average temperature shrinkage coefficient reaches a minimum, the corresponding optimum cement content(by mass) is 4% and the use level(by mass) of emulsified asphalt is no more than 3%.
