Abstract:By using the phase change material octadecyl(ODE) as the core material, chitosan(CTS) grafted methyl methacrylate(MMA) as the outer shell, polymer synthesized by styrene(St) under the effect of initiator as the inside shell, the double shell micronano capsule was formed.The properties of heat storage and moisture absorption and desorption of the double shell micronano capsule were investigated via differential scanning calorimetry and isothermal moisture absorption desorption tests.The morphology, particle size and microcosmic structure of the double shell micronano capsule were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), laser particle size analyzer, infrared microscopy, respectively. The results show that the double shell micronano capsule has a good heat storage and humidity controlled performance. The double shell micronano capsule particles are morphologically well formed, particle sizes of the capsule are within micronano scale. There are the grafted components which is chitosan and methyl methacrylate(MMA) in double shell micronano capsule.
