Abstract:In order to study the adhesion characteristics of warm mixing recycled asphalt mixture, the surface energy parameters of warm mixing recycled asphalt and aggregate were measured according to the surface free energy theory, and then, the adhesion work between warm mixing recycled asphalt and aggregate were calculated. The results show that, by adding the warm mix agent, the polar component of recycled asphalt and Lewis acid, base interaction are improved and the attached ability between the asphalt and aggregate is improved. At the same time, the adhesive work between warm mixing recycled asphalt and aggregate is relatively large in the presence of water, it indicates that the water ability of recycled asphalt mixture can be improved to some extent under the warm mixing conditions.
