Abstract:Municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI) bottom ash aggregate(BAA) was used to replace some natural aggregates in asphalt mixture, and its feasibility and range of dosage were discussed. Asphalt mixture proportion was designed and the influence of BAA on design asphalt content was also studied. Mechanical property and pavement performance of asphalt mixture with different use levels of BAA were investigated by room testing. The results show that for every 100%(by mass) increase in BAA,increase in design asphalt content will increase 07%(by mass). The adhesive property of asphalt mixture increases with the increase of BAA replacement, while the angle of internal friction decreases. BAA increases the compressive resilient modulus and high temperature stability of asphalt mixture at a content of 100%200%. The water stability and anti fatigue property also increase due to the increase of asphalt content. Asphalt has a stabilizing effect on soluble substance in BAA. On the basis of the performance analysis, it is recommended that the content of BAA is 100%200%.
