Abstract:Cement stabilized aggregate containing bottom ash aggregate(BAA) was prepared by using bottom ash aggregate from incineration of municipal solid waste to replace partly the natural aggregate in cement stabilized aggregate. Strength performances of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA were studied by unconfined compressive strength test and splitting test, and the effects of weathering time of BAA, particle size of BAA, curing time and curing temperature of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA, cement content were investigated. The strength performances of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA and cement stabilized aggregate were compared. The results show that the crushing value of BAA decreases with increasing weathering time. The 7d unconfined compressive strength of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA increases with increasing weathering time. The 7d unconfined compressive strength of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA (095mm) with weathering time of 30d is 40MPa. The 7d unconfined compressive strength of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA decreases with the increase of the particle size of BAA. The unconfined compressive strength and splitting strength of cement stabilized aggregate containing BAA increase with the increase of curing time, cement content and curing temperature.
