Abstract:The impact compression test of CFRGC(carbon fiber reinforced geopolymeric concrete) was conducted by using 100 split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus improved with the pulse shaped technique. The impact toughness of CFRGC was studied comparably from the view of two kinds of evaluation indexes, i.e. peak toughness and specific energy absorption(SEA). The results reveal that, from the point of peak toughness, CFRGC will show its advantages when volume fraction of carbon fiber is 03%; from the point of specific energy absorption, energy absorption character is excellent when volume fraction of carbon fiber is 02% and 03%. The development tendency reflected by two kinds of impact toughness evaluation indexes is in some consistency, in which the former is strain rate dependent, the latter is more effective and reasonable in evaluation of the impact toughness of CFRGC since carbon fiber can improve the impact toughness of geopolymeric concrete effectively.
