Abstract:Emulsion paraffin can be added to concrete to obtain concrete with phase change material(PCM concrete). Temperature control properties of PCM mass concrete were studied in different conditions, i.e., preheating raw materials, environment temperature fluctuation and mould removal. The results show that after raw materials preheating, maximum temperature of PCM mass concrete is lower than that of ordinary mass concrete, and temperature increasing and temperature reducing rate are slowed down. When environmental temperature fluctuating, PCM mass concrete surface temperature changes are more gentle than that of ordinary mass concrete.After mould removal, PCM mass concrete surface temperature drops more slowly than that of ordinary mass concrete. Therefore it can substantially prevent temperature cracks in mass concrete.
