Abstract:Thermal conductivities of different density wheat straw bale walls with different moisture content(by mass) were investigated and the effects of different temperature ranges on the thermal conductivities of wheat straw bale walls were discussed. The experimental results show that thermal conductivities of wheat straw bale walls increase with moisture content and density growth. Different temperature ranges have the effects on the thermal conductivities of wheat straw bale walls. With the same moisture content, thermal conductivity of wheat straw bale wall increases linearly with temperature range growth. The moisture content of wheat straw bale wall should be less than 130% for the thermal resistance high enough to ensure its insulation properties.
