Abstract:To investigate the damage evolution of acid corroded concrete under uniaxial compression, prismatic concrete specimens were immerged in mixed solution of sulfuric acid and nitric acid with pH value 25 for the compression test through monotonic loading and repeated loading. The effect of acidic corrosion on concrete was studied by analysis of mechanical property, Kaiser effect and parameters of acoustic emission(AE) rate process, and a calculation method for damage factors and constitutive equations is presented taking into account of initial damage. Consequently, quantitative evaluation of concrete damage can be implemented by using AE parameters.
