Abstract:Dispersed slurry system used on most projects has the shortcomings of large mud emission, hard control of the slurry target and large amount of new paste material etc. On the basis of laboratory and field test, new slurry material has been developed with the advantages of nondisjunction, thixotropy, inhibition and easy portability. The various formulations performed well in the construction of slurry shield. Mud recovery rate achieved to 90%. New slurry material was effective obviously on carrying small particles. The existence of theoretical network structure is proved by test. The viscosity values remains stable after the mud cycle.
