Abstract:In order to analyze the effect of freezethaw cycles and strength grades of concrete on tensile property, concrete samples of different strength grades undergoing rapid freezethaw cycles were subjected to uniaxial tensile experiment and splitting tensile experiment. Tensile peak stress and splitting tensile strength were measured and simple mathematical models were proposed. Research shows that as freezethaw cycles increase, the tensile mechanical and deformational properties of concrete are reduced; the higher the strength grade is, the more slowly these properties are lowered.
