Abstract:In order to predict the surplus fatigue life of concrete under nondestructive condition, the effect of some parameters such as elastics modulus,Poisson's ratio and density of concrete on the fatigue life is discussed in this paper.According to the test results, the best parameter to predict the fatigue life is screened out from the parameters mentioned above. Then,an empirical formula is established to describe the relationship between fatigue life and the growth rate of plastic strain in the second stage for the fatigue deformation.Hence,a new method based on the growth rate of plastic strain is proposed to predict the surplus life of concrete. This new method is verified with actual test data from this paper as well as other reports.
