Abstract:Mechanical properties of concrete(such as compressive strength,stress-strain curve, elastic modulus, etc.) corroded by hydrochloric acid solution with pH value of 2 and 3,were(studied.) Damage mechanism of the corroded concrete was discussed. The test results indicate that the mechanical properties of concrete(e.g.the strain, compressive strength, elastic modulus) decrease linearly with time and solution concentration. It is also shown that stress-strain curve of the corroded concrete become leveling off.Based on the experimental results,a numerical model is put forward to compute the compressive strength and the elastic modulus of corroded(concrete.)
