The self-compacted concrete(SCC) was prepared with polycarboxylate as superplasticizer and cellulose ether as viscosity-enhancing admixture(VEA).The effect of sand ratio,dosage of polycarboxylate superplasticizer and VEA on the fluidity,filling ability of fresh concrete,and the segregation property of the concrete were studied.The formulation to obtain a self-compacted concrete with best workability is proposed.
