Abstract:By adopting the method of orthogonal experimental design, the influence of three independent variables, that is water-solid ratio,water-cement ratio and sand percentage on the shrinkage of concrete and other related properties was studied. The results show that water-solid ratio is one of the most important factors affecting shrinkage of concrete, secondly water-cement ratio and lastly sand percentage under the same conditions.By using value coefficient to analyze the orthogonal experiment results, the optimized mix proportion of concrete is determined.Meanwhile, the influence of aggregate-cement ratio and paste-aggregate ratio is discussed. The results show that there are critical values leading to the minimum of the concrete shrinkage.
