The property of surface coated steel bar in chlorine salt solution was investigated.The coating materials were epoxy resin,epoxy mortar,SBR latex cement paste and SBR latex cement mortar respectively.The results show that the steel bar coated with protection shell increases the ability of resisting corrosion.The thicker the coating,the better the corrosion resistance.The bars coated with epoxy resin have better corrosion resistance and electric insulation.As surface coating material,epoxy mortar has many good properties in adherence,resisting corrosion and gripping.It could be used as protection coating for all kinds of diameter and shape of steel bar.
