Comparative studies of the penetration depth while using three different water repellent (agents) on four types of concrete were presented. Based on the study results, criteria to obtain a (required) penetration depth were formulated. An appropriate application technique to have the necessary amount of water repellent agent absorbed by a given concrete quality was also indicated. Water absorption of concrete treated with three different water repellent agents was determined. Untreated and (water) repellent treated concrete samples were exposed to saline water for 28 d. Then the chloride profiles were determined experimentally.
