Abstract:The ellipse ring restrained test technique were used to test concrete shrinkage cracking. The results was analyzed and compared by ANSYS 6.1(finite element analysis tool). Then, the initial cracking time (ICT) of mortar specimen, concrete ultimate elongation, concrete shrinkage, concrete tensile strength were brought forward together to evaluate the cracking properties of concrete blending with fly ash. Concrete incorporating fly ash (four levels of cement replacement: 0, 20%, 35% and 50% by mass), were investigated.
