According to experiment, the characteristics of stone asphalt concrete(SAC) performance, including Marshall stability, high temperature rutting, low temperature crack resistance, water stability, fatigue resistance and skid resistance were systematically analyzed. The influence of wood fiber on SAC performance was investigated, moreover, SAC is compared with dense grade asphalt concrete. The result indicates that SAC is a kind of high performance bituminous mixture.
