Abstract:The mechanical properties and digital image analysis of slurry-infiltrated fiber concrete (SIFCON) were investigated experimentally. Fractal dimension was used as a parameter to characterize the cracking pattern on the surface of SIFCON. It was found that there were fractal phenomena for different fiber content of SIFCON. The results indicate that fractal dimension can be a parameter to characterize the cracking pattern on the surface of SIFCON quantitatively, and there exists a good correlation between mechanical properties and fractal dimension.
