The concept of actual fracture energy of concrete divided by actual fracture surface was proposed. The relationships between actual fracture energy and materials parameters were investigated by the experimental method. In contrast with fracture energy divided by project plane, the experimental results showed that actual fracture energy increases little with the increase of aggregate size, varies not remarkably for different types of aggregate, enhances with the decrease of water binder ratio.
