Low water binder ratio and high content of mineral blend are main means to make HPC. In this paper it is pointed out that autogenous shrinkage is one of the most important problem to be solved for HPC, and it is a significant factor to cause early crack. Based on the various studies at home and abroad on autogenous shrinkage of cement pastes with low water binder ratio and concrete, the research direction is proposed.
