The study situation of autogenous shrinkage of concrete is reviewed in this paper. Mechanisms of autogenous shrinkage, factors influencing autogenous shrinkage, autogenous shrinkage stress and its estimation, methods for autogenous shrinkage reduction are specially discussed. Based on these analyses, the urgent problems to be solved have been put forward.
