In this paper, the development of research on bactericide ceramic materials was reviewed. The characteristics and the bactericide mechanism of source antibacterial ceramics were discussed. The application of antibacterial ceramic materials to sanitary pottery, cosmetic product, water treatment and medical industry has been also introduced.
