Abstract:The mechanical properties of glass fiber 3 D through the thickness angle interlock woven textile reinforced polyester composite were studied in this paper. It has been shown that the tensile, compression, flexure and interlaminar shear properties are remarkably influenced by the proportion and direction of z fiber. The straightened warp weaver and yielded matrix cause the non linearity of stress strain curves for extension tests. Compression tests have indicated its typical strains to failure of about 15% and flexure tests have displayed its well endurance to large deflection.
