Abstract:Static experiments on the corrosion of tailings glass melt to silica, electric casting zirconia corundum and zircon refractories are introduced. The crystalline composition and microstructure of these refractories before and after being corroded were investigated by XRD and SEM; and the corrosion mechanism of tailings glass to these refractories is discussed. The experimental results showed that the corrosion process of tailings glass to refractories is a complex physical chemisty procedure. These refractories are attacked both physically and chemically by glass melt.
