The contents of trace elements in the bodies of some celadons unearthed were analyzed. It is found that the contents of trace elements in samples change with production places and times. The characteristic elements were determined, and discriminant functions established according to the characteristic elements achieve good results on discrimination. It is proved that trace elements determination is effective and convenient way to discriminate production place of ancient ware.
