Abstract:As a typical example of the application of system theory to the material science, the method of transfer function has been applied in this paper to convert the operational impedance from frequency domain to time domain by inverse Laplace transform in order to study the hydration dynamics of cement. The result is in good agreement with that obtained by other methods. In addition,the mechanism of this hydration process of cement can be elucidated in the light of the method.It has been shown that this method could also be applied to other dynamic processes
