Abstract:
The fluidity, compressive strength, flexural strength, failure mode and the synergistic effect of steel PVA fiber reinforced concrete were studied by 18sets of specimens. The results show that when the total fiber volume fraction is 175%, the fluidity of concrete decreases with the increase of PVA fiber volume fraction, and decreases when PVA fiber volume fraction is more than 025%,and when the PVA fiber volume fraction is more than 025%,the rate of decline becomes higher. When the total fiber volume fraction is 175%, the positive synergies occur in the fiber combination of 150% steel fiber and 025% PVA fiber, compressive strength to the maximum; the flexural strength reaches the maximum when the fiber combination is 125% steel fiber and 050% PVA fiber. The incorporation of PVA fibers is favorable to the multi crack cracking.
